Phantom of Maria Seraph ('s text) is finally finished

After a horrendous delay, Phantom of the Maria Seraph is finally “finished.”

This version is a text-only version designed to be read (and annotated) in a markdown reader like VSCode or Obsidian.md. A mundane text editor like Notepad can work in a pinch, but hyperlinks won’t work.

It is embarrassing how long this took. Partially due to other priorities (including other Sci-Fi One-Shot Jam submissions), partially due to work, and partially due to losing my central vision.

I was able to resume development thanks to the encouragement of Thursday Garreau, refocusing on the juxtaposition of “civilization” and “barbarism” (following the thematic shadow cast by the inspiring media, the Firefly episode Bushwhacked), and remembering how to actually write productively (essentially writing in shorthand/bullets and going-back to fill things in with prose).

I should have a PDF version up quickly after this. If anyone plays this, please let me know how it goes.
