Version 1.0 is now available in three formats:

  • Google Doc workbook
  • Two word docs (1 for brainstorming, 1 for writing your first draft)
  • Two markdown files (1 for brainstorming, 1 for writing your first draft).

I plan on making a printable workbook with a bunch of worksheets for brainstorming.

Using this as a board to put some improvement ideas:

  • Dedicated monster brainstorming instructions

  • Advice for brainstorming villains

  • Advice for coming up with the Unnatural (would require either developing A Theory Of Unnatural, or being heterodox and presenting many ideas on The Unnatural)

  • List some scenario-level mechanics (clocks, Heat, etc)

  • Node traversal graphs?

  • Advice on designing and illustrating maps (urban, wilderness, and buildings)

  • Sourcing art ethically and responsibly
